New functions to help reduce cycle time

FANUC proposes a new method that combines analysis of machining programs and application of functions suitable for it, in place of the cycle time reduction methods that have been explored so far.

The Servo Guide is a servo adjustment tool (PC software) that promotes "visualization" of the machine. This time, a function has been added to analyze the operation of CNC at the time of processing program execution. Based on the analysis results, it is possible to centrally manage and collectively set various cycle time reduction functions using the newly developed processing time reduction setting screen. Furthermore, the smart overlap function that optimizes the feed time and the FSSB high-speed rigid tap function that speeds up the threading can be added, making it possible to apply the optimum speed-up method to various machine tools.

Manual Pulse Generator

Manual pulse generator, MPG, electronic handwheel, etc. Used for zero correction and signal segmentation of CNC machine tools, printing machines, etc. When the handwheel rotates, the encoder produces a signal corresponding to the handwheel motion. The coordinates are selected by the numerical control system and the coordinates are positioned. The manual pulse generator has an optical code disc with a shaft on its center, and has a circular pass and a dark engraved line. After shaking the hand wheel, it is read by the photoelectric transmitting and receiving device to obtain two sets of sine wave signals HA, HB, and each. The sine waves are 90 degrees out of phase. Since the two signals of HA and HB are 90 degrees apart, the positive or negative pulse can be given by the A phase before or the B phase. The servo motor is rotated forward or reverse.
